These regular-size cartridges are designed for Bullfrog Spas equipped with the flat, rectangular Simplicity Filtration System. Compatible applications include:

• Bullfrog 5-, 6-, and 7-size spas as the recommended regular-size application

Important: These cartridges require the updated Simplicity Filter Housing, part number 10-04669. Bullfrog Spas manufactured before 2024 may have the previous housing design and may require this retrofittable replacement before the cartridges can be installed.

The updated housing can be retrofitted into compatible Bullfrog Spas already equipped with the Simplicity Filtration System. It does not convert a spa with cylindrical filters or another filtration design into a Simplicity system.

These cartridges are not compatible with the triangular FROG @ease Classic cartridge holder used in Bullfrog X Series, STIL, and many older Bullfrog models. They are also different from the larger XL SmartChlor Cartridges recommended for most Bullfrog 8- and 9-size spas.

📋 How to Use

1. Confirm that your spa has the flat, rectangular Simplicity Filtration System and the updated Simplicity Filter Housing 10-04669.
2. Test the water using FROG @ease Test Strips.
3. Maintain total alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm.
4. Maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.6.
5. Maintain total hardness between 150 and 250 ppm.
6. Remove and discard the depleted gray SmartChlor Cartridge.
7. Set the replacement cartridge dial according to the setting chart for your Bullfrog Spa model.
8. Insert the new cartridge into the appropriate opening in the Simplicity filter housing until it latches securely.
9. Continue using the existing blue Mineral Cartridge if it is less than four months old and the spa has not been drained and refilled.
10. Test the water regularly with FROG @ease Test Strips and replace the SmartChlor Cartridge when the Out Indicator shows that it is depleted.
