The included Dock mounts securely to the spa wall, giving the monitor a clean, fixed location inside the water. Unlike the Purezone Hover model, this version does not float freely around the spa. It is an excellent choice for homeowners, rental properties and other installations where stable, tamper-resistant placement is preferred.

Purezone measures pH, free chlorine or total bromine, and total alkalinity. The app also displays spa-water temperature and helps you determine what adjustments may be needed to keep the water properly balanced.

Important: Purezone is a water-testing and monitoring system. It does not dispense sanitizer or other water-care chemicals.

📋 How It Works

1. Charge the Purezone battery before initial setup.
2. Download the Purezone by Balboa app on a compatible iOS or Android device.
3. Create your account and connect Purezone to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
4. Install the Dock securely on the spa wall according to the supplied instructions.
5. Install the included P3 cassette and place the Purezone monitor in the Dock.
6. Select daily or every-other-day automatic testing in the app.
7. Review your results and follow the app’s personalized water-care recommendations.
8. Use the Test Now function whenever an additional on-demand reading is needed.

🧪 P3 Testing Cassette

The included P3 cassette contains 48 individual tests and can remain in the water for up to 60 days. Each test measures:

• pH
• Free chlorine or total bromine
• Total alkalinity

With the default every-other-day testing schedule, the cassette performs 30 automatic tests and allows up to 18 additional on-demand tests. When daily testing is selected, the cassette provides up to 48 days of automatic testing. The Purezone app notifies you when the cassette is nearing the end of its available tests.

Replacement Purezone P3 cassettes are sold separately.

🧩 Compatibility & Installation

Purezone is designed for above-ground outdoor residential hot tubs and swim spas constructed from acrylic, vinyl, fiberglass or rotomolded plastic. It can also be used with saltwater spa systems and copper-ionization water-care systems.

The Dock model screws to the spa wall and requires a suitable mounting location inside the spa. Installation generally takes approximately 10 minutes when an appropriate location is available.

Before installation: Review the Purezone installation instructions and verify that the selected mounting location will not interfere with plumbing, wiring, jets, lighting, insulation or other components behind the spa shell. If you are uncertain about drilling or mounting the Dock, professional installation is recommended.

Purezone connects through a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. For dependable communication, the spa should ideally be located within approximately 50 feet of the router, network node or wireless access point. Actual wireless range may vary based on walls, building materials and signal interference.
